🏠 How housing selection works at Biola University

Biola University offers on-campus housing for all four years, with a strong emphasis on community living grounded in Christian faith. All traditional undergraduate students are required to live on campus for their first two years unless granted an exemption.

Application Process: Students apply for housing through the Biola University housing portal after receiving admission. Housing assignments are made based on class year, with priority given to incoming freshmen. A housing deposit is required to secure a placement.

Residential Faith Communities: Biola's residence halls are organized as communities of faith, each led by Resident Advisors (RAs) who help foster spiritual growth, academic support, and genuine community among residents.

Meal Plans: Residential students are required to participate in a meal plan. The Caf serves as the primary dining facility, with additional options available across campus. Commuter and upper-class students have access to flexible meal plan options.

Upper-Class & Apartment Living: Upperclass students have access to suite-style and apartment-style housing with greater independence, including kitchens and private or semi-private bathrooms. The Biola Apartments offer a transition toward independent living while remaining part of the campus community.
