Helping parents understand dorm options, safety, accessibility, and what to expect at Boise State University.
Boise State uses a priority-deadline model rather than a pure lottery. First-year students who apply by May 1 and returning students who apply by March 13 are split into two equal groups (Blue and Orange) and each group self-selects rooms during a designated week in June, with Honors and Living Learning Program students selecting first. Applications received after the priority deadline are processed on a space-available basis starting June 22.
All applicants must electronically sign a license agreement, pay a $100 nonrefundable fee, complete a roommate-profile questionnaire, and enroll in renters insurance before their application is considered complete.
