About Christa McAuliffe Residential Hall

Christa McAuliffe Residential Hall is Bowie State University's primary traditional residence hall, named in honor of the Bowie, Maryland native who became the first civilian selected for the NASA Teacher in Space Program and perished in the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. The hall provides corridor-style housing for first-year and returning Bulldogs with shared communal bathrooms, study lounges, and resident life programming rooted in BSU's HBCU tradition of excellence and community service.
