San José State University offers on-campus and nearby off-campus university-managed housing for students at all class levels. Housing is available to all enrolled students, with priority given to incoming freshmen.
Application Process: Students apply for housing through the SJSU Housing Portal. Assignments are made on a rolling basis following receipt of a housing contract and deposit. Incoming freshmen are strongly encouraged to apply early for guaranteed placement in Joe West Hall or Campus Village.
Meal Plans: Residential students living in Joe West Hall and Campus Village A and B are required to purchase a meal plan. Campus Village C and Spartan Village residents may purchase optional dining plans.
