💡 Tips for parents reviewing dorm options:

🏠 How housing selection works at Case Western Reserve University

Two-year residency requirement.First- and second-year students at Case Western are required to live in university housing.

First-year placement. Most first-years live in the (NRV), which is organized as a cluster of small "houses" (Cutter, Glaser, Hitchcock, Sherman, Storrs, Tippit, etc.) plus Clarke Tower. The houses share Leutner Dining Commons and Fribley Dining. NRV is the of first-year life.

Sophomore placement.Sophomores typically remain in NRV or move to SRV depending on lottery placement. Themed houses (honors, sustainability, etc.) and Living-Learning Communities are integrated throughout NRV.

Upper-class options.Juniors and seniors live in the (SRV) — apartment-style buildings including Triangle Apartments, Carlton Road Apartments, Murray Hill Apartments, and the numbered upperclass Houses. SRV residents take the Greenie shuttle to the academic core.

Greek life.CWRU has an active Greek community with on-campus chapter houses on Greek Row at the southern end of campus. Most chapters host both members and a small number of associated residents.
