Helping parents understand dorm options, safety, accessibility, and what to expect at College of Staten Island.
Dolphin Cove.CSI operates Dolphin Cove, an apartment-style on the eastern edge of the campus. Opened 2014, Dolphin Cove was the first true traditional-campus in CUNY history.
Apartment-style living. Each Dolphin Cove apartment is a 4-person unit with a full kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms (semi-private — shared between paired bedrooms). Air-conditioned, with on-site laundry, fitness center, and student lounges.
Application.Open to first-year and continuing CSI undergraduates. Applications typically open each spring; out-of-state and international students get priority for the limited number of beds.
Off-campus housing. Many CSI students still commute from across Staten Island, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. The campus is served by SIM buses and the Staten Island Railway (with a free shuttle from the SIR to campus).
