🏠 How housing selection works at Duquesne University

Duquesne University requires all full-time undergraduate students who have graduated high school within the past two years to live on campus for their first two years. Students apply for housing through the Duquesne Housing Portal after receiving their admission offer.

First-Year Students: Freshmen are primarily assigned to Towers Residence Hall or St. Ann Hall. Both halls offer Living and Learning Community options (Business, STEM, Honors) in Towers and a dedicated first-year experience community in St. Ann.

Sophomore Students: Sophomores typically live in Towers or St. Martin Hall, with the Sophomore Living Community based in St. Martin.

Upperclass Students: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students may apply for apartment-style housing in Brottier Hall or McGinley Hall, which feature full kitchens and private bathrooms.

Honors College: Des Places Hall serves as the dedicated residential home for Duquesne Honors College students.

Meal Plans: Students living in traditional residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan. Hogan Dining Center in Towers Hall is the main dining facility.
