Two-year residency requirement.First- and second-year Tech students live in university housing.

East Campus.First-year traditional corridor halls including Brown, Smith, Glenn, Towers, Hanson, Hopkins, Matheson, Perry, Field, Caldwell, Fitten, Folk, Freeman, Hefner.

West Campus.Sophomore and upperclass apartment-style residences — Eighth Street Apartments, Apartments, Crecine Apartments, North Avenue Apartments, plus Maulding/Stein/Hayes Houses.

Greek life.Georgia Tech has one of the largest systems in the South, with most chapter houses on Fowler Street, 6th Street, and Techwood Drive.
