🏠 How housing selection works at Hamilton College

guarantees four years of on-campus housing. The campus sits atop College Hill in Clinton, NY, and virtually all students live on campus throughout their enrollment.

First-Year Students:Incoming first-years are assigned to residence halls by the Office of based on a detailed questionnaire. First-years are typically placed in the cluster of corridor halls on the Hill — including Babbitt, Carnegie, Dunham, Eells, Ferguson, Keehn, Kirkland, Major, McIntosh, Milbank, North, Rogers, South, Wallace Johnson, and Wertimer Halls. All are co-ed with gender-inclusive bathrooms and communal shower facilities.

Upperclass Housing:Returning students participate in an annual spring room draw. Students accumulate "housing points" over time, giving seniors priority, followed by juniors and sophomores. Options available through the draw include:

• (East & West)— suite-style buildings; highly competitive, popular with upperclass students
• and Woollcott House— smaller, quieter options often chosen by students seeking a community feel
• and Skenandoa House— -style buildings; some with semi-private bathrooms
• Griffin Road and off-hill apartments— available to seniors; more apartment-style living with kitchen access
