🏠 How housing selection works at Marist University

Marist University requires all first-year students to live on campus. Students apply for housing through the Marist Housing Portal after receiving admission and submitting their enrollment deposit. Housing assignments are made based on housing application submission date and student preferences.

First-Year Housing: First-year students are assigned to one of five designated first-year residence halls: Champagnat, Leo, Marian, Sheahan, or Midrise. These halls foster a community environment for incoming students with dedicated Resident Directors and First Year Coordinators on staff.

Upperclass Housing: Returning students select housing through the Room Selection process, which is based on accumulated housing points. Upperclass students are eligible for apartment-style and townhouse-style residences featuring private bathrooms and full kitchen facilities.

Meal Plans: All residential students are required to participate in a meal plan. Murray Dining Hall is the main all-you-can-eat residential dining facility. Additional campus dining options include The Cabaret in the Campus Center and Starbucks at the James A. Cannavino Library.
