Savannah State University offers on-campus housing in several residential halls for all class levels. First-year students are strongly encouraged to live on campus, and dedicated freshman halls (Bowen Hall for women, Meldrim Hall for men) are available exclusively for incoming students.
Application Process: Students apply through the SSU Housing Portal after being admitted. Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. A housing deposit is required to secure placement.
Upperclass Housing: Returning students have access to Tuten Hall, Hubert Hall, Georgia Hall (co-ed suite-style), and Campus Crossing Apartments. University Village provides off-campus apartment-style living for upperclass and graduate students.
