🏠 How housing selection works at Simmons University

Simmons University houses undergraduates on the Residence Campus, which is separate from the Academic Campus and connected by a free shuttle. All undergraduate residential halls are all-female. Graduate students and upperclass undergraduates may live in Evans Hall or Simmons Hall, which are co-ed.

Application Process: Students apply for housing through the Simmons Housing Portal after receiving admission. First-year students are given priority placement in Mesick or Dix Hall. Returning students select housing via a lottery process each spring.

Meal Plans: Residential students on the Residence Campus have access to One Palace Road Dining Hall, located within the residential complex. All students living in traditional halls are required to purchase a meal plan.

First-Year Experience: Freshmen are typically placed in Mesick or Dix Hall to facilitate community building during the transition to college life.
