Helping parents understand dorm options, safety, accessibility, and what to expect at St. Ambrose University.
St. Ambrose University requires all traditional-age freshmen and sophomores to live on campus in university-owned housing. Housing assignments are made on a rolling basis following submission of the housing application and deposit.
Application Process: Students apply for housing through the Residence Life Office. First-year students are given priority for Clare Hall and Bechtel Hall. Upperclassmen may apply for Cosgrove Hall, University Village, or Campus Apartments.
Meal Plans: Residential students are required to purchase a meal plan. The Beehive dining hall is the primary meal plan dining location, with the Rogalski Student Center Café and SAU Market offering additional options.
Community Living: Residential life at St. Ambrose emphasizes faith, academic success, and community engagement in line with the university's Catholic mission.
