The New School offers on-campus and affiliated housing options in the heart of Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Housing is not guaranteed but is available to all enrolled students on a first-come, first-served basis.
Application Process: Students apply for housing through the New School Housing Portal after receiving their admissions offer. A non-refundable housing application fee and security deposit are required to hold a placement. Applications open in spring for the following fall semester.
Meal Plans: Residential students in University Center may purchase a meal plan for use at The Dining Commons. Meal plan purchase is optional for students in other residence halls.
Living-Learning Communities: The New School encourages interdisciplinary community within its residence halls, which bring together students from Parsons, Eugene Lang, the College of Performing Arts, and the Schools of Public Engagement.
