University of Arkansas Housing operates on a first-come, first-served contracting system. Incoming students submit a housing contract through the Campus Housing Portal and then participate in online room selection, which typically opens in early spring. Students can self-select a specific room and roommate, search for compatible roommates by profile, or request a roommate directly by Student ID.
A $200 advanced payment is required with the contract; the cancellation deadline to receive a refund of that deposit is March 1. Housing contracts cover the full academic year (August through early May). Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they meet exemption criteria.
