🏠 How housing selection works at University of Massachusetts Boston

UMass Boston offers on-campus residential housing for undergraduate and graduate students on its waterfront campus in Boston's Columbia Point neighborhood, adjacent to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

Application Process: Students apply for housing through the UMass Boston housing portal after admission. Assignments are made on a rolling basis, with priority given to first-year and sophomore students. A housing deposit is required to confirm placement.

Class-Year Priority: Freshmen and sophomores receive priority placement in Residence Hall East and West. Upperclassmen and graduate students are accommodated in Harborside Hall, University Hall, and the Graduate Housing complex depending on availability.
