UW-Whitewater offers seven residential options ranging from traditional corridor halls for freshmen to apartment-style complexes for upperclassmen. Housing is available to all enrolled students, with first-year students given priority placement in Benson and Bigelow Halls.
Application Process: Students apply for housing through the UW-Whitewater Residence Life portal after receiving admission. Assignments are made on a rolling basis and students are encouraged to apply early for best placement.
Class-Level Placement: Freshmen and sophomores are typically placed in Benson or Bigelow Hall (corridor-style). Upperclassmen can apply for suite-style living in Clem, Drumlin, or Knilans Halls. Juniors and seniors may also apply for the Esker Complex apartment units or off-campus coordinated housing.
Meal Plans: Residential students may dine at Drumlin Dining or Esker Dining. Multiple meal plan options are available, and The Hawks Landing and Warhawk Market provide additional convenience options throughout campus.
