The Language Immersion Student Residence (LISR) is a unique on-campus housing program where students live with others studying the same language for total immersion without leaving campus. The complex consists of five buildings — four residential buildings with three floors each housing 25 co-ed apartments, plus a central building for activities, dinners, and Sunday meetings. Each apartment houses six students: five studying the same language plus a native-speaker language facilitator who models correct usage. Students dine together Monday–Thursday evenings. Languages offered include Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and more.
