Vedder Hall, completed in 1965, is a four-story first-year residence hall located on lower campus near the Elaine Langone Center. The hall features distinctive Z-shaped rooms — each comprising two 7-by-12-foot connected spaces — as well as standard single and double rooms. East and west wings are co-ed by floor, with single-sex options available on center half-floors. Gender-neutral bathrooms are located on the ground floor. Community amenities include a shared kitchen, vending machines, and laundry facilities. An elevator serves the west wing. First-year students appreciate the close proximity to Bostwick Social House and the ELC.
