Cal Poly Humboldt is a public polytechnic university in Arcata, California, and the northernmost campus in the California State University system. Established in 1913 as Humboldt State Normal School, it was known as Humboldt State University until it was renamed Cal Poly Humboldt in 2022 upon becoming California's third polytechnic university. The campus sits near redwood forests, mountains, and the Pacific coast, and houses first- and second-year students in place-based learning communities. It enrolls roughly 6,000 students.
