Sierra Madre Hall is a traditional corridor-style first-year residence hall at Cal Poly SLO, named for the Sierra Madre mountain range. It offers standard double rooms with communal bathrooms and is one of several halls clustered in the main residential neighborhood. Sierra Madre is close to the Via Carta dining complex and the Engineering buildings, making it popular with engineering students who form the majority of Cal Poly's incoming class.
