American River Courtyard is Sacramento State's flagship residential community, named for the American River that borders the campus. This suite-style complex offers semi-private bathrooms within furnished suite clusters and is home to a large portion of the first-year residential population. ARC is at the center of the residential district near the dining commons and the Hornet's Nest student hub. It is home to several themed communities including the Future Educators LLC and the Health Sciences community.
