Severance Hall is one of Carleton's main first-year residence halls, part of the Housing and Residential Life program that strives to create strong residential communities. Like all Carleton halls, Severance features corridor-style rooms with shared bathrooms per floor. The hall is known for a lively social atmosphere and active programming. Being a first-year hall means everyone around you is also figuring things out together, which creates fast friendships.
