About James Hall

James Hall is a suite-style residence hall at Carleton College, formerly known as Memorial Hall before its 2008–09 renovation and renaming. The building houses students in suite configurations — quints and quads — with semi-private bathrooms shared within each suite, and is connected by an underground tunnel to Cassat Hall. James is popular with students who want a slightly more private living arrangement than Carleton's traditional corridor halls, and its central location is a significant draw.
