About Broad Street Houses

Colgate's Broad Street is lined with historic houses converted into residence halls for junior and senior students. Buildings at 80, 94, 100, 102, 104, 110, and 118 Broad Street offer singles, doubles, and triples with communal or all-gender bathrooms per floor, kitchens, and community spaces. Some houses have special designations: 80 Broad is the Ralph J. Bunche Peace and International House; 102 Broad (Cushman House) has all-gender bathrooms throughout. Living on Broad Street is the quintessential Colgate upperclass experience — more independence than a traditional dorm, a historic building, and proximity to Patterson Court-style social life. Each house has its own character, and students select their preferred building during the junior/senior housing draw.
