Freeman Hall is a traditional corridor-style building at Colgate University serving upperclassmen, with communal bathrooms on each floor and in-building laundry. Freeman lacks central air conditioning — in line with most of Colgate's older residential stock. Its hill-campus location provides easy access to academic buildings and the main dining hall. Freeman's upperclassmen population creates a more independent residential culture than the first-year halls, with residents managing their schedules with greater autonomy while still benefiting from the community structure of a traditional residence hall.
