About Ujamaa Residential College

Ujamaa Residential College is a program house dedicated to Africana studies, Black culture, and community. Named for a Swahili word meaning "familyhood," Ujamaa hosts academic programs, guest lectures, cultural events, and community dinners. The house is open to all students interested in Pan-African culture and Africana studies. Located on West Campus, Ujamaa is one of Cornell's most distinctive residential communities.
