Chidsey Hall is Davidson's newest and most modern residence hall, built in 2012. It houses 250 students across two connected towers (North: 120 students, South: 131 students) with a large shared entry lounge, kitchen and dining area, a common area with fireplace, computer room, and multiple lounges. Both towers have elevators. Chidsey is primarily for rising sophomores and houses mostly doubles. Its location on the west side of campus is a short walk from Patterson Court and the athletic facilities. The modern construction, excellent common spaces, and tight-knit two-tower community make Chidsey highly sought-after in the sophomore housing selection process.
