About Harper Allen-Lee Hall

The oldest residence hall on campus (built 1911), named to honor Doris Harper Allen and Robert Walker Lee — historic Black staff members whose service shaped JMU. Renovated in 2000, it features carpeted floors, semi-private bathrooms, study lounges, and kitchen access. A landmark in the Bluestone area.
