J. Alvin Brown Hall is John Brown University's men's residence hall, named after John Alvin Brown, son of JBU founder John E. Brown Sr. The building houses approximately 204 students organized into suites, each suite accommodating 6 to 8 residents who share communal bathroom facilities. All rooms have central air conditioning. The all-male community has a distinct culture, with residents and Resident Assistants building strong floor and suite bonds through shared activities. J. Alvin Brown Hall is a rite of passage for many JBU men and is centrally located on campus near the athletics complex.
