Drinker House was completed in 1940 and named in honor of Henry S. Drinker (Class of 1871), who served as president of Lehigh University from 1905 to 1920. The stone building is one of several traditional corridor-style halls grouped together in the central residential area of campus. Like Richards and Dravo, Drinker features single and double rooms with shared community bathrooms. The hall has a comfortable, lived-in feel with on-floor study lounges, a common kitchen, and laundry facilities. Drinker is popular with first-year students who want to be close to the academic core of campus while still living in a tight-knit community.
