McClintic-Marshall House, known on campus as "M&M House," was built in 1957. The U-shaped stone structure was constructed in memory of Howard H. McClintic and Charles D. Marshall (both Class of 1888), who together founded the McClintic-Marshall Construction Company — a pioneering steel construction firm that built projects across the country including the George Washington Bridge. The building follows Lehigh's traditional corridor-style layout with singles and doubles sharing community bathrooms. The U-shape creates a pleasant central courtyard that students use for outdoor gathering and studying in good weather. M&M has a reputation for being one of the more welcoming first-year halls, with strong residential life programming.
