Lewis & Clark College is a private liberal arts college of about 2,000 undergraduates in the wooded southwest Portland hills, with graduate schools of law and education. Founded in 1867, L&C is known for its global focus — nearly 70% of students study abroad — strong environmental studies and international affairs programs, and a beautifully wooded campus on the former Fir Acres estate. The campus's historic Manor House serves as the college's centerpiece.
