Lock Haven University is a regional campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, located in Lock Haven along the Susquehanna River's Bald Eagle Creek tributary in central Pennsylvania. Founded in 1870 as a normal school, LHU is known for its sport science, health sciences, and aviation science programs — one of the few public universities in Pennsylvania to offer a bachelor's degree in aviation. The campus sits in Clinton County's scenic river valley. The Bald Eagles compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
