Macaulay Honors College is the central honors program of CUNY, founded in 2001 (originally as the CUNY Honors College, renamed Macaulay in 2006). Macaulay enrolls about 2,000 of CUNY's most academically distinguished undergraduates, who are admitted both to Macaulay and to one of eight host campuses (Baruch, Brooklyn, City, Hunter, John Jay, Lehman, Queens, or Staten Island), where they take their classes.
