About First Year South

First Year South is one of two dedicated first-year residence halls at Marshall University, companion to First Year North. A four-story co-ed building housing approximately 391 students in double-occupancy rooms, each with its own en-suite private bathroom. Floor amenities include study lounges, a social lounge, and a game room. The hall participates in Marshall's first-year residential programming alongside First Year North, creating a cohesive transition community for incoming freshmen.
