Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) is a public liberal arts college and member of the Massachusetts State University System, founded in 1894 in North Adams in the Berkshire Hills of far western Massachusetts. Serving approximately 1,500 students, MCLA is one of the few exclusively liberal arts colleges within the Massachusetts public higher education system and offers programs in the arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and interdisciplinary studies.
