Messiah University is a private Christian university near Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, about 12 miles from Harrisburg in the community of Grantham. Founded in 1909 by the Brethren in Christ Church, it changed its name from Messiah College to Messiah University in 2020. The suburban campus spans roughly 471 acres, and first-year students are required to live on campus in residence halls. It enrolls around 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students.
