The Japanese House, located at 20 Adirondack View, is Middlebury's Japanese language academic interest house. It accommodates five students — three singles and one double — plus a room for a native Japanese-speaking resident. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are committed to improving their Japanese pledge to speak only Japanese in the house. The house features a shared living and dining area and hosts cultural programming that complements the academic Japanese curriculum.
