About Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel Hall

Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel Hall (known as RGH) was constructed in 1955 and is NMSU's most traditional residence hall, housing approximately 261 students. RGH is the only hall on campus using a classic double-loaded corridor design where rooms open directly onto an interior hallway. Originally built for triple and quadruple occupancy, the oversized rooms now house two students each. The hall has communal bathrooms, floor lounges with ping-pong and pool tables, a large central courtyard with a sand volleyball court, on-site laundry, and kitchen areas. Living Learning Communities include Aggie Pathway, Career Quest for Undecided, and Arts & Sciences. RGH sits within a 5-minute walk of the main dining hall, both libraries, Admissions, and Financial Aid.
