About Atherton Hall

Atherton Hall is one of the traditional residence halls in Penn State's South Halls residential area, named for George Atherton, Penn State's transformative president (1882–1906) who built the institution into a major university. Traditional corridor-style rooms with communal floor bathrooms, no air conditioning. South Halls is on the south side of University Park near the College of Engineering, College of Ag Sciences, and the Bryce Jordan Center.
