About Voorhees Hall

Voorhees Hall is one of ten residential units built in 1932 at RPI and named for Rensselaer alumni who served as presidents of railroad companies, honoring graduates' contributions to the nation's rail industry. It is named for Theodore Voorhees (Class of 1869), who was president of the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. The building was closed in 2014 and renovated/reopened in 2016 as part of E-Complex to accommodate a growing incoming class.
