About Roberts Hall

Roberts Hall is one of ten residential units built in 1932 at RPI and named for Rensselaer alumni who served as presidents of railroad companies, honoring graduates' contributions to the nation's rail industry. It is named for George B. Roberts (Class of 1849), who was president of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The building was closed in 2014 and renovated/reopened in 2016 as part of North Hall to accommodate a growing incoming class.
