Maroon Village is Roanoke College's most distinctive residence, a cluster of converted shipping containers redesigned as single-occupancy student rooms on the North Side of campus. Each room is a self-contained unit with a jack-and-jill bathroom shared between two rooms. The innovative design provides students with private single rooms in a community-village setting. Maroon Village has become a popular and sought-after housing option for students who value single-room privacy.
