West Grove Commons is SFSU's newest residence hall, opened in Fall 2024 as a modern all-electric 6-story building with 751 beds. The hall uses a pod-style cluster layout — 11–12 triple-occupancy rooms share a pod common area, creating an intimate community within the larger building. Each floor has four community kitchenettes, and bathrooms feature private stalls with all-gender access and shared vanity areas. On-site laundry and study spaces are available. West Grove Commons is located near Monarca Dining Hall and is home to Living Learning Communities for first-year students.
