Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) is a public regional university in Weatherford, Oklahoma, founded in 1901 as Southwestern Normal School by act of the Oklahoma Territorial Legislature. The Bulldogs compete in the Great American Conference at the NCAA Division II level. SWOSU is recognized for its College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, nursing, education, and business programs.
