About Ujamaa

Ujamaa is one of Lagunita Court's original 1930s houses at Stanford, on the east side of the complex ("East Lag"), and is home to Stanford's African-American theme program focused on the histories, issues, and cultures of the Black Diaspora. Corridor-style rooms with communal bathrooms around Lagunita's central courtyard.

Ujamaa has no air conditioning. Students here often pick up:
