Opened in 2006, University Commons is a co-ed corridor-style hall designed for upperclass and independent living. Approximately 120 residents enjoy self-controlled heating and air conditioning, Microfridge units in every room, and floor lounges. Rooms are available as doubles and singles with adjoining shared bathrooms. The multipurpose building also houses Faculty Student Association offices, the University Bookstore, Convenience Store, Cranston Marché, and Starbucks.
