About SUNY Geneseo

SUNY Geneseo is a public liberal arts college in the village of Geneseo, New York, in the Genesee Valley about 30 miles south of Rochester. Founded in 1871 as the Geneseo Normal and Training School, today Geneseo is consistently ranked among the top public liberal arts colleges in the country. With about 5,100 undergraduates, it has a tight residential community feel. Notable strengths include the natural sciences, business, English, education, and music.
