SUNY Plattsburgh is a public university on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, New York, on the western shore of the lake about 25 miles from Burlington, Vermont, and the Canadian border. Founded in 1889 as a normal school, Plattsburgh enrolls about 4,200 undergraduate and 300 graduate students.
